Franchisor:

A legal entity which owns the patents, trademarks, methods, and supplies that it allows others
to use  under  its auspices. The franchisor provides a licensed  privilege to  the franchisee to do
business and offers assistance in organizing, training, merchandising, marketing and managing in
return  for a monetary  consideration.  Franchising is a  form of  business  by  which the  owner
(franchisor) of a product, service or method obtains distribution through affiliated
dealers (franchisees).

Franchisee:

The   investor or the  future  franchisee is an individual(s) who own and operate a business under
a licensing agreement granted by a parent company known as the franchise company or franchisor
.Franchisees are commonly entitled to: use the trademark or trade name; sell or market the product
 or service; have access to pertinent trade secrets; receive  management and other training; enjoy
marketing and/or advertising support; build equity interest in the business; and benefit from the
good-will of the franchise company.
